On May 2nd I posted a blog "How do you avoid getting ripped off at the gym?".  I used a recent fueling stop at a gas station as a metaphor to describe how some gym behaviour leads to false economy in fitness terms.  Well, just this week I had a new experience during a fuel stop - the complete opposite of what happenned at the original fuel stop story and I wanted to share it with you.

I stopped and bought $X.XX worth of gas.  I had a hungry 14 year old in the car with me for whom I bought some food.  The counter lady was processing the payment.  She took a lollipop from the candy stand and added to my purchase without even asking.  She did say it would entitle me to a discount of 72 cents on my fuel.  The price of the lollipop was 70 cents, providing me with a 2 cent profit and a happier kid.  I just said "Thank You", smiled, and left happy.

That can happen in the gym too.  Gym staff are employed to offer you the same kind of benefit the gas attendant gave me.  Next time your Gym Staff approach you asking how you are why not invite them to take a look at your form in the gym?  Better yet, book a session with a Personal Trainer...
